Staph infection: The most likely infection is caused by staphylococcus which can cause an infection in the skin and involve the glands of the eyelid. Also rosacea can infect the skin and the eyelid.Vboth are treatable with oral antibiotics. Heat can offerctemporary relief until you can see your doctor for a press riot ion antibiotic.
