Fever and cough: Like all pneumonias the initial symptoms are cough, high fever and malaise. There may or may not be sputum formation early.

Legionella Pneumonia: When present, sx's may include fever, chills, cough (may be productive of sputum or be bloody), difficulty breathing, confusion, muscle aches, chest pain, headaches, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
