Rinse & witch hazel: Try rinsing the are with cool water, then pat area gently with mild astringent like witch hazel. Severe rash may require some hydrocortisoe cream. Sold over-the-counter & lowest strength available is best, use sparingly and wait 5 - 7 days before reapplying. To avoid rajor burn, best to use thick shaving creal labelled for sensitive skin. Use sharp (never dull) razor blades. Always shave downwards.

Razor burn: Insure you use fresh, sharp blades vice dull blades. If hair is > several mm long – then trim before shaving. Wash area before shaving – warm water helps to soften hair. Use a lubricant when shaving. Avoid using products that contain alcohol or are scented. Shave in direction of the hair – not against it. Be gentle when shaving – don’t push down too hard.
