Chicken pox: Still called chicken pox in adults. A special type which affect only a portion of face(like right upper 1/4 of face) or body (like a linear form involving right chest/back ) called shingles(herpes zoster).

V-z: Varicella zoster is the name for acute chickenpox, in babies, children and adults. It is also the name for cpox that activates in immunocompromised people. Slow viral or chronic recurrence with varicella virus in a skin nerve root is called herpes zoster. The family of viruses is herpesviridae. Sometimes the name is human herpes virus type iii.
