A member asked:

How is cpr done for someone with a tracheostomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Much easier : Previous CPR requires chest compression and breathing for the patient. While breathing is still important, the emphasis now is on chest compression. Having tracheostomy diminishes the need for actually breathing for the patient as chest compression achieves the same with positive and negative airflow that come with compression.
