A member asked:

If i will soon be taking hormones for menopause, can hormones increase libido?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormone and libido: Genital atrophy is very common among menopausal women. The pain with intercourse stops many women from sex. Estrogen is much better than lubricant in this regard. Libido is a multi-factorial issue, not the least is the age. Who is as hot as 30 years ago? Also, physical and mental stress are much greater. Having said that, testosterone is used for lifting libido. It is not fda approved.
