Is it a bad idea for someone who is depressed and has anxiety to take amphetamine?

Good question: Which came first? Amphetamine is a stimulant. It is also used for dieting. Persons with low energy and who are over weight are often given amphetamine. However, the primary problem could be depression. The medication can then make them better or make them worse. Most patients with primary depression get worse on amphetamine.
