What are your thoughts on avastin (bevacizumab) for ovarian cancer?

Get the facts: You need a good relationship with at least two very ethical oncologists. You'll spend a huge amount of your or someone else's money for a treatment that makes the cancer stay smaller but probably doesn't prolong life and puts you at risk for death from massive hemorrhage. In the process, you will be adding to scientific knowledge. Informed consent rules; you decide.

Promising: Avastin (bevacizumab ) a angiogenesis inhibitor, maily used for large bowel, eye ( glioblastoma ) some breast and lung cancers use of it in advanced ovarian cancer is promising, delays progression. Complications like bowel perforation bleeding , non healing out weigh benefits as better drugs are available for ovarian cancer.
