Is it safe to give a 5m/o hydroxyzine for itching related to her eczema?

Talk with the Dr.: Hydroxyzine (atarax) syrup is an antihistamine like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) and causes sedation in most patients. A 5 month-old baby is very young, so i avoid using these medications in such young infants.
