Of course: Unprotected sex, especially anal receptive, is risky. Many diseases are transmitted without much in the way of symptoms. That includes hiv, herpes, syphilis, even gonorrhea, etc. If you are sure that your partner has no diseases, that's one thing. If you only take his word for it, well...
