A member asked:

What happens after a total hysterectomy to your body and supplements i need to take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Uterus only-nothing: If the uterus only is removed and not the ovaries, then there will be no changes felt. The uterus holds a baby and menstruates as its' only functions. If the ovaries are removed, ( a site of estrogen production) then you will need estrogen replacement therapy in the form of patches, spray, pill or vaginal insert.
