Various: Mederma is very expensive and doesn't work that much better than a lot of other simple things. Moisturization prevents scar tissue formation and contraction when healing. I like olive oil as a gentle emollient that is also anti-inflammatory. Organic coconut oil is also a great emollient, and if you like a commercial product keep things moisturized with eucerin.
