Molar pregnancy: Being younger or older is a risk factor for a molar pregnancy. One of the causes of a molar pregnancy is dispermy, or the fertilization of the egg by two sperm. Perhaps the eggs of younger or older women are more susceptible to this happening. This is my opinion.

Molar pregnancy: The egg of a woman <18 or >40 is less genetically stable. More errors in duplication occur.
