Yes ...but...: Most docs will keep such issues confidential if you ask, but it will be recorded in the medical record for accuracy. Federal and state laws permit the parent of a minor to obtain copies of office notes if they decide to go trough the procedures needed to get them. Since a hymen may be broken in non sexual activities at any point, or may not be present from birth, the issue should not be overrated.
