Bones, lung, heart: Osteosarcoma is generally confined to the bone of origin in most cases, but in about 20% of cases spreads to other parts of the body most commonly the lungs and other bones. Furthermore, the aggressive chemotherapy that we use to cure osteosarcoma can adversely affect the heart, hearing, and kidneys.
