Patellofemoral pain: You most likely have a condition called patellofemoral pain syndrome. It is due to the patella is not tracking properly on the trochlea. This can be due to a variety of causes such as hip flexor muscle weakness, tight it band etc. A program of physical therapy can usually solve this. If pain persists, see your sports medicine ortho surgeon for further work up. An easy home exercise program is here http://nycsportsmed.Com/knee-foot-and-ankle.Html.
