Long-term analgesics: Taking pain meds for headache regularly can lead to more headaches whenever the drug's blood level drops below therapeutic. Treating the cause of the headaches is preferable. Narcotic analgesics can cause constipation & possibly increased back pain (if that's why you're taking it) due to increased intra-abdominal pressure. Use stool softener &/or increased dietary fiber. Many analgesics can cause liver &/or kidney damage if used long term. Consult with FP about alternative ways to relieve pain.
