A member asked:

I had tubes tied, no period for 3months, negative pregnancy test, what is going on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Delayed menses: With the recent tubal ligation the blood flow between the ovary and uterus may have been interrupted causing a temporary "short circuit" in the feedback message to the pituitary gland conveying the need to start "aunt flow". If the serum quantitative pregnancy test is negative ask your gyn md for a "jumpstart"(progesterone) and the "country cousins" will arrive shortly.
