What causes a person to be dizzy for 3 months straight?

All kinds of things: Dizzy is an imprecise term that could mean many things. The list of dizzy for three months is very long. Is this the kind of dizzy where the room or you are spinning or moving? Is it the kind of dizzy where you feel like you are going to pass out or lose consciousness? Or is it like neither of those? Answers to these would help me narrow it down.
