Keep it light: Be sure to have multiple changes of clothing, diapers, and wipes., as well as baggies to put the soiled items. A lightweight diaper bag with compartments will help you stay organized. If you are flying, infant formula and breast milk is exempt from the "3oz" rule so you can carry on as much as you need. Don't forget infant tylenol (acetaminophen) and teething gel for emergencies.

See below: The short answer is everything you can carry. The newborn seems to need a lot of stuff. Obviously you need food supplies and bottles. This includes cleaning supplies, and warming supplies. Then you need diapers and wipes. Lots of "onesies", as they will get very messy, very quickly. Climate will dictate wether you need warm clothes and/or hats. Zip lock bags are your friends. Meds?. Good luck.
