14 days before cycle: Most variation in cycle length is in the follicle stages (the part before ovulation). The luteal phase (from ovulation until menses) is usually about 14 days. Each cycle can vary though, so ovulation may occur a few days before or after this day.

8/25/2012: Ovulation is usually 14 days prior to menses, so if your next menses is due 9/8/2012 (31 days in august) you should ovulate around 8/25 (+/- 1-3 days). Confirm this with an lh kit (ovulation predictor test) & good luck to you.
