How to temporarily suppress asperger's instincts and avoid social misunderstandings?

Observe and imitate: Temple grandin described her observing of the world around her like being an anthropologist on mars. Choose people you respect and who are considered as appropriate. Try to understand their reactions to others and try to imitate in your own manner. Try to remain calm and natural and controlled. Be confident.

Glad u have insight: U r wired differently and this has pluses. Relationships are more important than being right. Say only nice things. Talk about the other person's interests. Find a sport based on strength or stamina rather than teamwork or coordination. Immerse yourself in something useful to others (science). Apologize & say u r struggling to learn. Work hard to be kind to others, expecting nothing in return.
