Yes: Wine is made from grapes which are a source of frutose. Once the fructose is fermented it turns into alcohol. Most alcohols come from sugar and once alcohol its alcohol.

No: sugar alcohols end in 0H, which puts them in the category of alcohols in general. But the drinking alcohol is ethanol and that is different from the sugar alcohols like xylitol, mannitol, ( you dont get drunk from them)
