Low potassium: Low blood potassium is caused most commonly by diuretic medication. Other causes include diarrhea and vomiting. Rarely, a genetic kidney disease can cause low potassium such as Gitelman's syndrome or Bartter's syndrome. These feature low blood pressure too. Low potassium and HIGH blood pressure indicates an aldosterone excess from the adrenal gland. Citrus fruits, tomato, potato are rich.
