What are some exclusion criteria for transplants?

Depends : This depends on the transplant. For any transplant you have to be deemed healthy enough to live through the operation and to survive for a certain number of years after receiving the organ. For each organ ther are also additional criteria that may exclude one from transplant.

Contraindication(s): For most organ transplants, active infections and metastatic malignancies are usually considered contraindications. In addition, psychiatric conditions or lack of psychosocial support system that can affect the patient's compliance with immunosuppressive medications can exclude some potential recipients.
