Delayed treatment: Testis cancer is one of the most curable of all cancers, even when it is very advanced. The key to cure is early identification, careful assessment of extent, expert co-ordinated care from medical oncologists, surgeons and radiation oncologists and a patient who is co-operative and keeps his follow-up appointments and test without fail for years- that is one of the most important things.

Spread of the tumor: Testicular cancer can spread to other organs. Although it is very sensitive to chemotherapy and is usually cured it can stop responding to chemo and lead to death.
