A lot: Have you read tony attwood's book: Asperger syndrome? I have individuals in my own family who have autism and function very well. Have you heard of temple grandin? If not, check out anything with her name on it or about her.

Overall IQ > 70: Kids with hfa have low language abilities & learn best from what they see & touch. Non-verbal iq >90. May have increased random, purposeless, motor activity & stereotypies (e.g., spinning, pacing), look at objects from odd angles, over- or under-react to smell, taste, touch, visual or auditory stimuli. May work dvd players/ computers above age level. Often have good response to behavior therapy.
