Reactive Attachment : Is a disorder in children characterized by markedly disturbed & developmentally inappropriate ways of relating socially. For example, failure to initiate or respond to social interactions (inhibited form, or rad), or indiscriminate sociability with strangers (disinhibited vform, or dad). Cause is failure to form normal attachments to primary caregivers as result of neglect, abuse or separation.

There may be disturbances in eating and failure to gain weight.
