What happens during sexual health checks?

Depends: It depends on the doctor. There may be questions about your medical history and social history, a physical exam of the heart, lungs, abdomen, maybe the whole body. A genital exam will probably be included. For women, there may be a speculum exam to look into the vagina, swab vagina and cervix for a Pap smear, and check for infection. The doctor may also internally feel pelvic muscles, ovaries, and uterus. Sometimes, there's also a rectal exam to feel inside the anus and rectum.
