Hypoglycemia: Galactosemia is a genetic disorder where galactose accumulates due to deficiency of the enzyme that breaks it down. It leads to liver/kidney/brain damage, & cataracts . Hypoglycemia is low glucose due to pancreas or liver diseases or medications that lower sugar levels such as insulin.

No: Hypoglycemia means low blood glucose. Galactosemia is a metabolic disease where the galactose ( a different sugar) that is consumed cannot be broken down and thus builds up in excess.
