About to start: Most likely you are about to have your period. This can happen from time to time. There is still a chance you could be pregnant if your previous period was not normal. And yes, you can have a period and be pregnant at the same time. If you have been sexually active with no protection, pregnancy has to be included in the differential diagnosis. To ease your mind, you can do a urine pregnancy test.
