Hello i' have a sliped disk and also arthritis so i been told have a op i heard that there are injections and just wonder if i could try them first?

It depends: A lot depends on exactly what is wrong. Slipped disc can mean different things.A single disc herniation can often be improved by an epidural steroid injection.Remember conservative treatment of many disc herniations will result in resolution of the symptoms and problem but each case needs to be evaluated independently.

Try injections: Injections of cortisone are a very good option. Most patients can see significant improvement with injections and physical therapy. There is no downside of trying that first. If you continue to have pain despite these treatments you can consider surgery.
