C diff: C difficile is an infection that has increased in frequency in the past two decades. Prevention is on many fronts including resisting using too many antibiotics, isolation of patients that have the illness, and freqent hand washing. Note that hand-washing and not simple alcohol on the hands is the only thing that kills thebactera.
