how deadly is mrsa for an elder male in end stage copd who is refusing to treat the mrsa?

Depends: We need to know where this MRSA is whether in the lungs, blood stream, or in the wounds. If in the wounds, it may not that deadly, but otherwise we may end up in trouble. Again it all depends on the clinical condition of the patient and other abnormal labs.

Not good: Untreated MRSA in anyone can be fatal, wherever the sour e. In someone with end stage lung disease, survival will be worse yet.

MRSA: I think in general we would all say watch for any fever or change in her respiratory status but not to worry too much. She should be just fine.
