Needs urinalysis: A urinalysis should help explain some things. Bubble baths can irritate the urethra also. Please discuss with your son's doctor.

Hard to say: Circumcised or not ? Strong stream or dribble ? Circ'd boys occasionally develop a narrowing near the outlet that leads to reduction in flow rate and pain. Uncirc'd boys can develop a skin irritation that leads to more germa around the outlet and possible urinary tract infection. Urine needs to be examined as well as kid.
