A member asked:

Is it possible that if you are very nearsighted, you won't be able to wear contacts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Contact lenses: The issue as to whether one is able to wear contact lenses or not is not really related to the power of the lens(ie how near or far sighted you are) but other factors such as the fit of the contact lens on the cornea, whether the tear film is adequate to support the contact lens, or any inter ocular health issues such as infection or inflammation of the eye or eyelids.
