Antibiotics: School sores (or impetigo) are a bacterial skin infection caused by the bacteria staph aureus found everywhere. The treatment usually is ten days of antibiotics by mouth. The best antibiotic for school sores is flucloxacillin a form of penicillin. The sores also need to be covered to stop them spreading. Cleansing the skin with antiseptic and putting antibiotic cream in the nose may also be needed
