Selsun Blue is: Often effective in treating tinea/pityriasis versicolor, a low-grade skin fungus. Apply as directed. Wash clothes, bedding, bath linens to destroy fungus to prevent recurrence. Be patient: eliminating skin funguses takes time. If otc selsun blue isn't adequate, see doc for rx for selenium sulfide lotion, which has a stronger concentration or the active ingredient.
