Quite a lot: The stomach doesn't actually "turn". But it does squeeze in a rhythmic fashion. During this time, the stomach is releasing acid to break down the food you have eaten. It is also mechanically breaking down the food and eventually pushing it forward into the intestines as mostly a liquid.
