Yes: blood pressure should decrease several hours after taking the med. more importantly is how your mother feels- does she feel weak or have a headache. is she under stress,what health issues does she have etc. short term, a bp of 150/95 is not serious, but I would keep a log of bp .time and date,readings and then make appointment with her primary and go over her bp medications and adjust as needed
