"under" arthroscop: There are 2 major methods of anesth for this surgery. The choice is partly yours 1) spinal anesth where they give you a short acting med in your back. Your legs go numb for a couple of hours. Your aneth provider will give you a sedative so that you nap during the procedure. 2) general anesth where you are put in a much deeper sleep. You are so asleep that you need a breathing tube in your mouth.
