Ptosis: Drooping eyelids that are symmetrical usually are not dangerous and can be caused by weakness of eyelid elevating muscles or just age. However, might be an indicator of neurological or brain problem. Should see eye md asap to diagnose and recommend treatment.

Need picture!: Ptosis is what we call it when eyelids don't appear fully open. It is often one sided, and can be caused by serious medical conditions. You should get ptosis evaluated, especially if it is a new finding. Dermatochalsis is the term for extra upper lid skin which is wrinkled & causes drooping upper lids. This is slow & progressive. It is due to aging and geneics and can be corrected w surgery.

Droopy eyelid: There are several causes of a droopy eyelid. Your best bet would be to have your eyes evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
