Possibly: Pain with bending over may be due to a hiatal hernia, especially if associated with regurgitation. A hiatal hernia is the top part of the stomach sliding up into the chest through an opening of the diaphragm (hiatus) that has stretched out and become too large. This change in the anatomy distorts the natural anti-reflux valve of the stomach and makes it fail, allowing acid up into the esophagus.
