Get evaluated.: There are many causes of swelling in the scrotum, such as infections of the testicle or epididymis (orchitis) or accumulations of fluid (hydrocele, spermatocele). A detailed history and physical exam can determine if a scrotal ultrasound is necessary for further workup.
