Parenting and sex: No one has a right to tell you how to be a parent. It is your responsibility to raise your children through adolescence to health and happiness. Good or healthy self esteem means that one understands their right to self exploration and knowledge of their body and their human condition. Sexuality is a part of living and of being human. Teach your children this. They must know their bodies.

Part of normal devel: Cultural forces have created many myths and taboos on the subject, which is sad. This is a normal part of human development that peaks in the early teen years and may continue off and on through life. If the issue comes up, shaming your kid for a natural function can injure self esteem.Like toilet issues they should keep it private.Let it go.
