No false positives: If a home pregnancy test is positive, you can trust the result. In the first few weeks, a blood test will be more sensitive if your hpt is negative.

Hpt: If you take it too early - it could give you a negative result even if pregnant. If you let the test sit out too long before reading it - it could appear to be a positive even if you are not pregnant. If done right they are very accurate.
