I've been on birth control for 2 weeks and want to have sex what are risks?

Pregnancy and STDs: Depending on where in your menstrual cycle you started the birth control, you may still be able to get pregnant this month, so use a back up form of birth control. Most birth control does not protect against sexually transmitted infections, so make sure you're using condoms if infection is a possibility.
