See your OB/GYN: There are a number of things that may be going on. Blood pressure medicines may affect the ability to have an erection. Even if you still have periods at 44 years old, your fertility could be very low. It is a good idea to see an ob/gyn to find out what could be going on and have a general physical before getting pregnant.

Infertilty: Your husbands medication has no effect on fertility - it can cause erectile dysfunction. Your issue is your age. You need to be seen by a gyn - check your ovarian reserve by doing these test on the 2nd or 3rd day of your cycle: fsh, lh, estradiol, antemullerian hormone and amtrak follicle count. This will give your potential for successful ovulation.

Doubtful: The medicines are probably not the reason. Even though you still get your periods it is more difficult for women to concieve in their 40's and up. Your husband may also have a low sperm count or low testosterone. You may want to have him checked for that first and talk to your doctor about fertility treatment if he is fine with his fertility.

Need further tests: Perhaps some medicines may affect sperm count or cause erectile dysfunction. However this would be a premature conclusion. Both you and your husband should have appropriate fertility tests.
