How long will it take for symptoms of stds to show up?

It varies: The most common symptom for stds is no symptoms at all. Some people may notice symptoms such as vaginal itching, odor, discharge or sores within 3 days of exposure. Others, will never have any of these symptoms. So, if you think you may have been exposed, its best to go ahead and get tested. You may even consider getting treated for common infections just to be on the safe side.

Depends on the STD: Depending on the infection, the symptoms may occur from 1 day to 3 weeks after exposure. If you do have symptoms such as unusual or foul-smelling vaginal discharge, vaginal itching or ulcers or bumps - you should see your doctor to be tested. You may also consider getting treatment for the most common stds right away just to be on the safe side.

It depends: On the std. The infection may even be without symptoms and HIV may not show up clinically for 10 years. Get checked.
