A member asked:

Why haven't i had my period in 4 years after i gave birth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many reasons: A regular period is dependent on multiple organ and systems working in a coordinated fashion with interplay of various hormones connecting them. Your brain communicates to your ovaries, your ovaries secrete hormones that influence the uterus, and finally the uterus sheds its lining regularly. Any disruptions on any of these levels can cause cessation of periods. See your doctor to get worked up.
